Brian Piper: podcast appearances and interviews

Brian James Piper was an Australian rugby union player born in Narrabri, New South Wales. He attended St Joseph's College and studied dentistry at the University of Sydney. Piper played rugby at the first-grade level with Randwick for one season before representing Sydney University. He played as a fullback and was capped 12 times for the Australian national team, the Wallabies. His international career began in 1946 when he was called up for the tour of New Zealand, replacing the injured Ron Rankin, and he made his Test debut against the All Blacks at Carisbrook. Piper participated in the 1947-48 tour of Britain, Ireland, and France, playing in all five Test matches. He also toured New Zealand in 1949; however, he missed the Test series that year due to an injury sustained after falling 15 feet from a hotel fire escape balcony while attempting to play a joke on his teammates.
