Brandon Neely: podcast appearances and interviews

Brandon Neely is the CEO and co-owner of Wealth Financial. He is a former guard at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba. Neely gained recognition for his willingness to be interviewed by the Center for the Study of Human Rights in the Americas at the University of California, Davis. In 2007, he declined a recall to active duty from the Individual Ready Reserve and reported receiving an honorable discharge from the Army Reserve after correspondence from the Department of Defense. Neely has engaged in international meetings, including traveling to the United Kingdom in January 2010 to meet with former detainees. He reconnected with Ruhal Ahmed and Shafiq Rasul in 2009 through Rasul's Facebook page. His experiences and interactions with former captives have been part of broader discussions documented in media, including a scheduled BBC Radio documentary about his meeting with former detainees.
