Brad Stevens: podcast appearances and interviews

Bradley Kent Stevens is an American basketball executive and former coach who is the president of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association. Born and raised in Zionsville, Indiana, he played high school basketball at Zionsville Community High School, setting four school records. He attended DePauw University, where he played basketball and earned a degree in economics. Stevens made the all-conference team multiple times and was a three-time Academic All-America nominee. After working at Eli Lilly and Company, he transitioned to coaching and joined Butler University's basketball program as a volunteer before the 2000–01 season. He was promoted to assistant coach the following season and, after five seasons, became Butler's head coach in 2007. Stevens quickly gained recognition, guiding Butler to a 30-win season in his first year and setting NCAA records for victories in his first three years. He led Butler to two consecutive NCAA Final Fours and reached the national championship game twice, narrowly missing the title on both occasions. His coaching success earned him the head coach position with the Boston Celtics in 2013, where he led the team through a rebuilding phase, earning playoff appearances each season from 2014 through 2021. He was known for a motion offense and solid defense, and his leadership resulted in a division championship and multiple conference finals appearances. In June 2021, Stevens was appointed president of basketball operations, assuming duties of general manager. He was named the NBA Executive of the Year for the 2023–24 season and secured his first NBA championship with the Celtics shortly thereafter. He also received the NBA Executive of the Year award again in the 2025–26 season.
