Paul Clifton Anthony George Sr. is an American professional basketball player who has played for several teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on May 2, 1990, and is known by the nickname PG-13. George played high school basketball at Knight High School and proceeded to play two seasons of college basketball with the Fresno State Bulldogs. He was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the tenth overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In 2013, he was recognized as the NBA Most Improved Player and earned his first All-Star selection. That year, he led the Pacers to their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance since 2004. George suffered a broken leg in 2014 while competing for a spot on the United States national team for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, which caused him to miss most of the 2014-15 season. He recovered and returned as an All-Star in 2016 and achieved Olympic gold. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017, where he played two seasons. In 2019, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, helping the team reach the playoffs four times, including their first Conference Finals appearance in 2021. George later signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2024 and was traded to the Boston Celtics in 2026, continuing his career in the NBA.
