Andrew Roane Dick, born Andrew Thomlinson on December 21, 1965, in Charleston, South Carolina, is an American actor and comedian. He has a background in improvisational theater through his involvement with The Second City, which contributed to his development as a performer. Dick has maintained a long-standing career as a stand-up comedian, performing across the United States and releasing several comedy albums. His television career began with a regular role on The Ben Stiller Show on Fox. During the mid-1990s, he appeared regularly on NBC's NewsRadio and served as a supporting character on Less than Perfect. He also starred in two short-lived television series on MTV, including the sketch comedy series The Andy Dick Show in 2001 and the reality series The Assistant in 2004. In addition to acting on television and in films, Dick is known for his appearances on Comedy Central Roasts, stand-up comedy performances, and late-night talk shows.
