Andrew Weissmann is an American attorney and professor known for his expertise in law and criminal justice. He has served in a variety of prominent roles within the United States Department of Justice, including as chief of the Fraud Section from 2015 to 2017 and as a lead prosecutor in Robert S. Mueller's Special Counsel's Office from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, Weissmann was appointed by President George W. Bush as deputy director and then director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Enron Task Force in 2002. He also served as General Counsel of the FBI from 2011 to 2013 under President Barack Obama.
