Adam Mitchel Lambert, born on January 29, 1982, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor known for his dynamic vocal performances that blend theatrical training with both modern and classic genres. He gained prominence as the runner-up on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009. Following the competition, Lambert released his debut album For Your Entertainment, which debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 and included the single Whataya Want from Me, earning him a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. He subsequently released several albums, with Trespassing in 2012, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making him the first openly gay artist to top the charts. His third album, The Original High, was released in 2015 and debuted at number three. Lambert has sold over three million albums and five million singles worldwide. Since 2009, he has performed with the band Queen in various worldwide tours as part of Queen + Adam Lambert, after replacing Paul Rodgers. Their collaborative efforts include the album Live Around the World, released in 2020, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart.
