Abbas Milani: podcast appearances and interviews

Abbas Milani is an Iranian-American historian, educator, and author born in 1949. He is a visiting professor of political science at Stanford University and serves as the Hamid and Christina Moghadam Director of the Iranian Studies program there. Milani is also a research fellow and co-director of the Iran Democracy Project at the Hoover Institution, which is part of Stanford University. His work includes the book Lost Wisdom: Rethinking Modernity in Iran, published in 2004, in which he explores the history of Persian modernism, presenting evidence that it dates back more than a thousand years. Throughout his career, Milani has focused on Iranian history and politics, contributing to scholarly understanding of Iran's modern identity and democratic development.
