  VDC #257 Bullshittin w/ Bellerose

  Sep 7, 20262h 3m

Today I got a call from my boy Art Bellerose. After months of harassing him to come do the podcast he thought he'd call out of the blue and I would say no and then he would be off the hook. But I called that bastards bluff and told him I'd be at the studio in 20 minutes! There is no plan, no theme just two good old boys choppin it up talking some shit. I love this man and its always a pleasure to talk to him. He is finally headlining the @comicstripwem on Sep 20th something we have both dreamed about doing since the day we met! You can also come see him on the Asylum @themoonyeg this Friday Sep 11 (never forget) as well as Sep 18+19 at yukyuks Edmonton The Moon as all kinds of amazing shows coming up so go follow @themoonyeg so you don't miss out on any of the magic!

  Episode #256

  VDC #256 Henry Sir

  Jun 24, 20261h 36m

Henry Sir is someone I heard about since I first started doing stand up and I have wanted to have him on the podcast for a long time. He has been killing the game with his social media content and it has led him to some really amazing success with stand up including multiple tours, sold out shows and much more. It was awesome to get to pick his brain on this transition including how he personally enjoys making content for social media and what kind of doors it has opened for him. Henry has done stand up for a long time including time spent in LA and New York. I had a million questions as those are the places most aspiring comics dream of being so it was very insightful to get to hear what it's really like. My personal favourite was hearing what it's like to audition for the world famous comedy cellar! (I'm sure I look like a kid in a candy store as he was telling me about it) He recently moved back to Edmonton and he opens up about what it's like to be back and what its like touring more than ever. Henry has lived a fascinating life and I loved hearing him open up about the hard parts of the journey and show his gratitude for the success he has built for himself. I hope you all like it and share it with your friends! This weekend we have some huge shows at the moon I hope to see many of your faces there!

VDC #255 Solo Show Update (The Jessimae Weekend)

  Jun 20, 20261h 11m

Man was this podcast fun to record. I felt like I used to before comedy when podcasting was everything. I was in a great mood and just sat down by myself and got Silly for an hour. Life has been up and down but there's been so many amazing things going on it was nice to be grateful and appreciate the magic of the recent shows. Throwing together a midnight show for two of the best comedians in the game (Jessimae Peluso and Mike Lynch) on less than 10hrs notice was one of my favourite nights I've had in comedy. Definitely worth the sleep deprivation. It taught me so many lessons and showed how the lessons of running shows i've learned over the years can come together to make something magic out of nothing. Take a listen and hear about how it all came together! Next weekend is going to be huge for @themoonyeg we have a GINORMOUS Asylum on June 26th. Tickets are moving very fast so don't miss out if you want to come see one of our best lineups yet, and plan to stay late because the madness never ends! Also we have our 300th consecutive Sunday Smoke Show June 28th. It's a big milestone and we can't wait to share it with you all!
