Episode #207
Men "just" need to try harder
In this video I talk about the scary statistics revolving around men's health. I begin by looking at a resource looking at Canadian men and then shift over to an article focused on America. It is so important to recognize the complexity of such a topic: the psychological, cultural and social influences need to be considered. Often in the media we hear one singular cause- "men need to try harder, do better and step up." I highlight how this claim is at best incomplete, and at worst flat out damaging and invalidating.
