Episode #20
Camp Nowhere
I thought I had seen this film before, but apparently I hadn’t. It is a fun summer film that brings back 90s nostalgia and it is available to stream on Disney+, so go check it out. Morris Mud Himmel (Jonathan Jackson) spends every summer at computer camp, but he hates it. Mud and his friends (Andrew Keegan, Melody Kay, Marnette Patterson), unhappy about their respective camp prospects, devise a plan to finally have a fun summer. They bribe Dennis Van Welker (Christopher Lloyd), an ex-teacher, to pose as a counselor for a fake camp and rent a campground where the kids can run amok. But they run into trouble when their parents want to come for a visit. Bug Juice Cocktail: Ingredients 1.5 oz Apple Vodka 0.75 oz Melon Schnapps (Midori) 2 oz Pineapple Juice Splash of Sprite or Lemon-Lime Soda Gummy worms or plastic bugs on the rim for garnish Directions Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour in the apple vodka, melon schnapps, and pineapple juice. Stir well until chilled. Top with a splash of Sprite for fizz. Hang gummy worms over the edge of the glass like real camp mess-hall crawlers. Drinking Game (Some from this episode and others from drunkenme.com): Drink when… skinny dipping is mentioned. Trish's dad confuses her with his other daughter. Mud and/or Gaby refer to themselves as dorks/geeks/nerds. anyone complains about their parents. anyone says “Camp". Dennis portrays a new character. a new camp activity is shown (ie. mattress jumping, pie fight, flashlight tag, etc). a letter is mentioned. a peace sign is shown. a super soaker is seen. Take a shot… “Just because you’re smart doesn’t mean you can’t act stupid.” As always, drink responsibly and with others. Follow and subscribe wherever you listen to the podcast.
