Adriaan van Klinken is Professor of Religion and African Studies at the University of Leeds. His work explores the relationship between religion, gender and sexuality , with a particular focus on Christianity, African contexts, queer identities and questions of social justice. In this episode, we go beyond the academic conversation and into the personal, social and spiritual questions that shape how we understand ourselves and our place in the world. Growing up gay within the conservative Dutch Protestant Bible Belt, Adriaan brings a deeply personal perspective to questions of faith and sexuality.
