Zara Maria Larsson is a Swedish singer and songwriter born on December 16, 1997. She gained prominence in 2008 by winning the second season of the Swedish talent show Talang. In 2012, she signed with Ten Music Group and released her debut EP, Introducing, in 2013. The single Uncover from the EP reached number one in Sweden, where it was certified six times platinum, and also charted in Norway. Her debut studio album, 1, released in 2014, produced the Swedish top-ten singles Carry You Home and Rooftop. Larsson later signed a three-year contract with Epic Records in the United States, leading to her international debut album So Good in 2017. The album became her second number-one in Sweden and charted within the top ten in seven other countries. Its lead single Lush Life achieved top-five status in 18 countries and was one of the best-selling songs of the 2010s in the UK. Larsson's collaborations include the 2017 single Symphony with Clean Bandit, which topped charts in the UK, Sweden, and Norway. Her third studio album, Poster Girl, was released in 2021, with the single Ruin My Life reaching the top ten in the UK and Sweden. She left Ten Music Group in 2022 and acquired her music catalogue. Her fourth album Venus was released in 2024 under Epic Records and her own label Sommer House, with singles achieving notable success.
