Wesley Winfield Hall is the CEO and co-founder of North Carolina Adapted Sports. His background includes a distinguished career as a professional cricketer and a politician. Hall was born on September 12, 1937, and he achieved recognition as a formidable fast bowler for the West Indies, playing 48 Test matches between 1958 and 1969. He was known for his tall stature and powerful build, making him a notable figure in cricket history. Hall formed a prominent opening bowling partnership with Charlie Griffith and gained popularity in various cricketing nations, including Australia where he played for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield. Initially a wicket-keeper and batsman during his school years, Hall transitioned to fast bowling later in his development. His cricketing achievements include a Test hat-trick against Pakistan in 1959, the first for a West Indian, and participation in significant matches such as the Tied Test against Australia in 1960 and a match at Lord's in 1963. Post-retirement, Hall engaged in Barbadian politics, serving in both the Senate and House of Assembly, and was appointed Minister of Tourism in 1987. He contributed to cricket administration as a selector, team manager, and served as President of the West Indies Cricket Board from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, Hall was ordained as a Pentecostal minister and has been honored with memberships in both the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame and the West Indies Cricket Hall of Fame. He was knighted in 2012 for his services to sport and the community.
