Victor Wembanyama is a French professional basketball player born on January 4, 2004. He plays for the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association and was selected first overall in the 2023 NBA draft. Known for his exceptional height, agility, and skills, he is regarded as one of the most promising basketball prospects in history. Wembanyama began his professional career at age 15 with Nanterre 92 in the LNB Pro A. Two years later, he joined ASVEL and secured a Pro A title during his single season with the team. In the 2022-23 season, he signed with Metropolitans 92, becoming the youngest player to win the Pro A Most Valuable Player award and earning honors as the league's best defender. He also led the league in scoring, rebounds, and blocks and was a three-time Pro A Best Young Player from 2021 to 2023.
