Kevin Wayne Durant, born on September 29, 1988, is a professional basketball player currently affiliated with the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Known by his initials KD and nicknamed the Sprint Reaper, he is recognized as one of the greatest basketball players and scorers of all time. Durant has a highly decorated career, having won two NBA championships, an NBA Most Valuable Player Award, two NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Awards, and four NBA scoring titles. He has been selected to 16 NBA All-Star games and named to 12 All-NBA teams, including six First Teams. Additionally, Durant is the only male basketball player to win four Olympic gold medals, making him a leading scorer in Team USA's Olympic history. His contributions to the sport earned him a place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. Durant played one college season for the Texas Longhorns, earning numerous awards, including the Naismith College Player of the Year as a freshman. Drafted second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007, which became the Oklahoma City Thunder, he spent nine seasons there, leading them to a Finals appearance and earning the MVP award for the 2013-2014 season.
