Valorie Kondos Field, born Valorie Kondos on August 20, 1959, is a retired American gymnastics coach known for her leadership at UCLA. She served as the head coach of the UCLA Bruins gymnastics team at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1991 to 2019. During her tenure, she guided the team to seven national championship titles, establishing a highly successful record in NCAA gymnastics. Kondos Field has received numerous accolades, including being a four-time Conference Coach of the Year and the 2018 West Region Head Coach of the Year. She was also recognized as the Pac-12 Gymnastics Coach of the Century. Her accomplishments place her as the third most-winning NCAA gymnastics coach, behind Suzanne Yoculan and Greg Marsden. Known colloquially as Miss Val, she is celebrated not only for her competitive achievements but also for her influence and leadership within the sport.
