Troy James Smith, born on July 20 1984, is an American entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of The Black Swan Group. He is a former professional football quarterback with experience in the National Football League, where he played for four seasons. During his college years, Smith played for the Ohio State Buckeyes and was recognized for his exceptional performance by winning the Heisman Trophy in 2006. Despite his college success, concerns about his size and his performance in the 2007 BCS National Championship Game influenced his draft position, resulting in his selection in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens. Smith's NFL career included three seasons with the Ravens, followed by a stint with the San Francisco 49ers, primarily in a backup role.
