Tony Perkins: podcast appearances and interviews

Tony Perkins is an American conservative activist and Southern Baptist pastor. He is the president of the Family Research Council, a position he has held since 2003. Perkins also teaches a course titled God and Government, reflecting his engagement in religious and political discourse. His background includes service as a police officer and a television reporter. From 1996 to 2004, he served as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He ran for the U.S. Senate in 2002 but was not successful. In addition to his role at the Family Research Council, Perkins has been involved in national religious freedom efforts. On May 14, 2018, he was appointed to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom by then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He was elected chairman of the Commission on June 17, 2019.
