Tom Homan: podcast appearances and interviews

Thomas Douglas Homan, born on November 28, 1961, is an American law enforcement officer known for his prominent role in immigration enforcement. He served as the acting director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from January 2017 to June 2018, during which he advocated for the deportation of illegal immigrants and opposed sanctuary city policies. Homan's approach to immigration policy included support for family separation as a deterrent to illegal entry and he became a vocal proponent of the Trump administration's family separation policy. His effectiveness in deportations was recognized in 2015 when President Barack Obama awarded him a Presidential Rank Award. Post-2018, Homan has contributed as a commentator for Fox News and became involved with the Heritage Foundation in 2022, where he contributed to Project 2025. In November 2024, he was designated by President Donald Trump as border czar for his second term. In September 2024, Homan was reportedly recorded accepting a $50,000 cash gift from undercover FBI agents as part of an investigation into allegations of accepting bribes from border security companies in exchange for government contracts. However, in September 2025, the Department of Justice closed the investigation citing insufficient evidence.
