Timothy Morton: podcast appearances and interviews

Timothy Bloxam Morton, born on June 19, 1968, is a professor and the Rita Shea Guffey Chair in English at Rice University. He is a prominent figure in the object-oriented philosophy movement, where he investigates the relationship between object-oriented thought and ecological studies. Morton is known for coining the term 'hyperobjects' to describe entities that are massively distributed in time and space, such as climate change and styrofoam, which transcend localizable boundaries. His work draws inspiration from various sources, including Björk's 1996 single 'Hyperballad.' Morton has authored several books, including 'Humankind: Solidarity with Non-Human People,' in which he examines the divide between humans and non-humans from an ontological perspective. He advocates for a radical rethinking of how humans conceive of and relate to non-human animals and nature, emphasizing the political implications of such a shift.
