Timothy Kevin Story, born on March 13, 1970, is an American film director, producer, and editor. He is widely recognized for his work on films such as Barbershop, released in 2002, the 2005 adaptation of the Fantastic Four, and the Ride Along franchise. Throughout his career, he has received notable recognition including two NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Directing in a Feature Film or Television Movie in 2006 and 2013. Story is the founder of The Story Company, a production company established in 1996 in partnership with his future wife Vicky. He holds the distinction of being the first African-American film director to have grossed over 1 billion US dollars at the box office.
