Thad Allen: podcast appearances and interviews

Thad William Allen is a former admiral of the United States Coast Guard who served as the 23rd commandant from 2006 to 2010. He is recognized for his leadership in directing the federal response to hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the Gulf Coast region from September 2005 to January 2006. Allen also played a key role as the National Incident Commander of the Unified Command during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. He remained on active duty for 36 days after being succeeded by Robert J. Papp Jr. as commandant, continuing to serve as the National Incident Commander for an additional three months before retiring from the Coast Guard on 30 June 2010. Since November 2011, Allen has worked as an executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton. His career has been marked by significant responsibilities in emergency response and incident management.
