Terence Patrick Winter, born on October 2, 1960, is an American television and film writer and producer. He has been involved in the creation and production of several notable television series. Winter served as a writer and executive producer on the HBO series The Sopranos from its second through its sixth and final seasons. He is also credited as the creator, writer, and executive producer of the HBO series Boardwalk Empire, which aired from 2010 to 2014. In addition to his television work, Winter penned the screenplay for Martin Scorsese's film The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013, a work that earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. He co-created, wrote, and executive produced the HBO drama series Vinyl in 2016, though it lasted only one season. Currently, Winter is an executive producer and writer on the Paramount+ crime series Tulsa King, which is led by Taylor Sheridan.
