Stephanie Lynn Nicks, born on May 26, 1948, is an American singer-songwriter best known for her work with the band Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist. She began her career as part of a duo with Lindsey Buckingham, releasing the album Buckingham Nicks, which achieved limited commercial success. In 1975, Nicks and Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac, contributing to the band’s rise as one of the best-selling music acts of all time, with over 120 million records sold worldwide. Their album Rumours, the band's second with Nicks, became one of the best-selling albums globally and was certified 21× platinum in the United States. Nicks launched her solo career in 1981 with the release of her album Bella Donna, which topped the Billboard 200 and achieved multiplatinum status. Over her career, she has released eight studio albums as a solo artist and seven with Fleetwood Mac, selling approximately 65 million copies in the US alone. Nicks has received numerous accolades, including being named the Reigning Queen of Rock and Roll by Rolling Stone after her debut solo album. She is considered one of the greatest songwriters and singers of all time, with several of her songs appearing on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
