Steve Knapp: podcast appearances and interviews

Steve Knapp was born on April 17, 1964, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a former driver in IndyCar who competed during the 1998 to 2000 seasons, participating in thirteen career starts including three at the Indianapolis 500. His most notable achievement was his third-place finish at the 1998 Indianapolis 500, which also earned him the title of Rookie of the Year. Despite his success at that race, Knapp did not lead a lap in any of his IRL races. After retiring from professional racing, he transitioned to the business side of motorsports. Knapp owns and operates Elite Engines based in West Bend, where he specializes in the development and maintenance of engines for various racing categories, including FA, FC, S2, HART F2000, and Mazda engines used in the U.S. F2000 National Championship. His career reflects both competitive racing experience and an ongoing contribution to motorsports through his engine-building enterprise.
