Steve Howe: podcast appearances and interviews

Steve Howe is the PCA's Director of Operations. He is an accomplished musician known for his long-standing role as the guitarist and backing vocalist in the progressive rock band Yes. Howe's musical journey began in his youth in Holloway, North London, where he developed an interest in the guitar at age 12. He started his music career in 1964, playing in various London-based blues, covers, and psychedelic rock bands, including the Syndicats, Tomorrow, and Bodast, gaining experience over six years. Howe joined Yes in 1970, and his blend of acoustic and electric guitar significantly influenced the band's sound and success. He contributed to many of their well-known songs, co-writing them, and remained a key member until the band's initial dissolution in 1981. Following this, Howe achieved further success with bands such as Asia, GTR, and Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe. He has also pursued a prolific solo career, releasing 20 solo albums and collaborating with artists including Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Martin Taylor, and Queen. In addition to performing with Yes and solo projects, Howe formed the Steve Howe Trio, a jazz group. His contributions to music were recognized in 2017 when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Yes.
