Steve Denton: podcast appearances and interviews

Steve Denton is the CEO at Ware2Go, a UPS Company. He is also the head men's tennis coach at Texas A&M University. Denton's career began as a professional tennis player, during which he was active on the ATP Tour for nine seasons. He achieved notable success, including reaching the finals of the Australian Open in 1981 and 1982, and winning the 1982 US Open doubles championship alongside Kevin Curren. Throughout his tennis career, Denton attained career-high rankings of World No. 12 in singles and World No. 2 in doubles. He secured a total of 18 tour-level doubles titles, although he did not win a singles title despite reaching six finals. Notably, in 1984 he served a ball at a speed of 138 miles per hour. After retiring from professional play, Denton moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he coached junior tennis teams. He began his college coaching career at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in 2001, leading his teams to three conference championships and making their first NCAA tournament appearance. In 2006, he transitioned to Texas A&M University as the head men's tennis coach. His contributions to tennis have been recognized through his induction into several halls of fame, including the ITA Hall of Fame, the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame, the Blue-Gray Tennis Classic Hall of Fame, and the Longhorn Hall of Honor.
