Soumaya Keynes: podcast appearances and interviews

Soumaya Anne Keynes, born on 31 July 1989, is a British economist and journalist affiliated with The Economist. She spent eight years as the Britain economics editor at the magazine, where her work focused on the US economy and the trade policies of Donald Trump’s first presidency. During her tenure at The Economist, she co-hosted the Money Talks podcast and co-founded and co-hosted Trade Talks, a podcast that covered economic trade from 2017 to 2021. In addition to her role at The Economist, she works as a columnist for the Financial Times and began hosting a new podcast for them in May 2024 focused on economic topics. Keynes's career in economic research started as a policy adviser for Her Majesty’s Treasury in London, where she examined banking and credit issues. She later worked at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, concentrating on pensions and public finances.
