Simone St. James is a Canadian author known for her works in mystery, historical fiction, and romance novels. Her writing often explores themes of ghosts, crime, and investigation. She resides outside of Toronto, Canada, and previously spent twenty years working in the television industry before transitioning to full-time writing. St. James was inspired to write her first book by her desire to find a ghost story that was creepy yet not gory, with a romantic element; when she could not find such a story, she decided to create it herself. While she has never personally seen a ghost, her novels focus on the possibility of the supernatural and often revolve around the 'what if' moment.
