Shayna Baszler: podcast appearances and interviews

Shayna Andrea Baszler is an American professional wrestler and former kickboxer and mixed martial artist. She performs on the independent circuit and is best known for her tenure in WWE. During her time there, she became a two-time NXT Women's Champion, holding the title for the longest combined duration, and a three-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. Baszler was trained in mixed martial arts by former UFC fighter Josh Barnett and in catch wrestling by Billy Robinson. She had her first professional MMA fight in 2006 and gained recognition for her submission grappling skills. In 2013, she was signed by the UFC for the reality television series The Ultimate Fighter, and she competed in two professional bouts, both of which she lost. She was released from UFC in 2015 and began her professional wrestling career that same year, again trained by Barnett. After gaining experience on the independent circuit and competing in World Wonder Ring Stardom, she signed with WWE in 2017. Baszler became a prominent figure in WWE, earning multiple championships before her release in 2025.
