Seán Lynch is an Irish republican politician affiliated with Sinn Féin. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the constituency of Fermanagh and South Tyrone. Lynch has a history of involvement in republican activities and was a former leader within the Provisional Irish Republican Army at the Maze Prison, also known as Long Kesh. In addition to his political career, Lynch held the position of Chairman of Sinn Féin in Fermanagh and was a senior member of the district policing partnership in the county. He previously stood for election in the 2007 Northern Ireland Assembly election for Fermanagh and South Tyrone but was not elected. Before serving in the Assembly, Lynch was a councillor on Fermanagh District Council, contributing to local governance.
