Sean Jones, born on May 29, 1978, in Warren, Ohio, is an American trumpeter, composer, and music educator. He is featured on the Grammy Award-winning album Turned to Blue by Nancy Wilson, which was released in 2007. As a bandleader, Jones has released eight albums under the Mack Avenue Records label and actively performs with his own groups both nationally and internationally. His performances include prominent music venues and jazz festivals such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Detroit International Jazz Festival, the Vail Jazz Festival, and the Montreal International Jazz Festival. In addition to his performance career, Jones is affiliated with The King's Academy, contributing to music education.
