Scott Ritter: podcast appearances and interviews

William Scott Ritter Jr. is an American former United States Marine Corps intelligence officer and a former United Nations Special Commission weapons inspector. He served as a junior military analyst during Operation Desert Storm and was a member of UNSCOM overseeing the disarmament of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq from 1991 to 1998. Ritter resigned from his role at UNSCOM in protest and subsequently became a critic of the Iraq War and United States foreign policy in the Middle East. In addition to his work as an author, he is a commentator and has contributed to Russian state media outlets RT and Sputnik. Ritter has visited Russia in support of it since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In June 2024, he claimed that US authorities seized his passport, preventing him from visiting Russia. His career has been marked by his outspoken views and his involvement in international security issues, as well as controversy stemming from legal issues related to his personal conduct in 2011.
