Max Blumenthal: podcast appearances and interviews

Max Blumenthal is an American journalist, author, blogger, and filmmaker born on December 18, 1977. He has contributed to a variety of media outlets including The Nation, AlterNet, The Daily Beast, Al Akhbar, Mondoweiss, and Media Matters for America. Additionally, he has written for Al Jazeera English, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times. Blumenthal has held the position of writing fellow at the Nation Institute and has contributed to Sputnik and RT as of 2022. He is the editor of The Grayzone website, which is known for its criticism of US foreign policy and coverage of international governments, including Russia, China, Venezuela, and Syria. The Grayzone has been described by many as fringe and has been associated with denial of certain events such as chemical attacks by the Syrian government and human rights abuses against Uyghurs. Blumenthal has written extensively about Israel and is sharply critical of its government. He is the author of four books, with his first titled Republican Gomorrah, which became a bestseller. His book Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel, published in 2013, earned him the 2014 Lannan Foundation Cultural Freedom Award for an Especially Notable Book.
