Sasha DiGiulian: podcast appearances and interviews

Sasha DiGiulian, born October 23, 1992, is an American professional rock climber. She specializes in outdoor sport and big wall climbing and has a background in competition climbing and bouldering. DiGiulian won the gold medal in the Female Combined category at the 2011 International Federation of Sport Climbing World Championships held in Arco, Italy. She has secured multiple titles, including several PanAmerican championships and three US National Championships. DiGiulian has climbed over 30 First Female Ascents and completed more than a dozen significant First Ascents. Notable ascents include 'Rolihlahla' in South Africa, a Big Wall in Brazil in 2016, and The Misty Wall in Yosemite National Park in 2017. Her climbing achievements also include significant redpoints; in 2011, she redpointed multiple routes graded 5.14c (8c+), onsighted two routes graded 5.14a (8b+), and four routes graded 5.13d (8b). In 2013, she became the first American woman to redpoint the route Era Vella graded 5.14d (9a), and she established the First Female Ascent of the Alpine Big Wall route Bellavista graded 5.14b (8c). In 2015, DiGiulian made history as the first woman to free-climb Magic Mushroom on the north face of the Eiger, a route graded 7c+ (5.13c). Her exploration of climbing routes also includes the first female ascent of Mora Mora in Madagascar, graded 5.14b (8c), which she completed with Edu Marin in 2017, marking the second free ascent of the route.
