Sarah Hopkins, born in 1969, is an Australian professional serving as the head coach at Cornerstone Finance. Her background includes extensive experience in the legal field, having worked as a criminal lawyer and serving as a judge in the district court of New South Wales. She previously contributed to the Aboriginal Legal Service in Sydney and held the position of chairperson for Just Reinvest NSW, an organization dedicated to reducing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the prison system. In addition to her legal career, Hopkins is an accomplished novelist, known for her book The Crimes of Billy Fish, which received recognition as Highly Commended in the ABC Fiction Award and was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize in 2008. She published her second novel, Speak to Me, in May 2010, and her third novel, This Picture of You, came out in 2014, earning a shortlist nomination for the Barbara Jefferis Award for fiction. She is married to chef Matt Moran and has two children. Her familial background includes being the granddaughter of Harry Hopkins, who served as Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Secretary of Commerce and was a key advisor on foreign policy during World War II.
