Sanya Richards-Ross: podcast appearances and interviews

Sanya Richards-Ross is a retired American track and field athlete renowned for her achievements in the 400-meter sprint. She competed internationally representing the United States and earned four Olympic gold medals. Richards-Ross secured the title of Olympic champion in 2012, making her the second American woman to win the 400 meters at the Olympic Games, and was the first American woman to win multiple global 400-meter titles. Her accomplishments include a 2009 world championship, a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, and a silver medal at the 2005 world championships. She is a six-time U.S. national champion and has ranked number one in the world from 2005 to 2009 and again in 2012. In 2006, she set the American record for the 400 meters with a time of 48.70 seconds and was named the IAAF Female World Athlete of the Year that year, a recognition she received again in 2009. Richards-Ross holds the record for the most sub-50-second sprints in history with 49 such performances. Beyond individual medals, she contributed to her team securing three consecutive Olympic golds in the 4 × 400 meters relay at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics and earned a total of five relay medals from World Athletics Championships. Following an injury at the 2016 U.S. Olympic trials, she retired from competition and transitioned into a broadcasting career as a track and field analyst for NBC. In 2017, she published her memoir titled Chasing Grace: What the Quarter Mile has Taught Me about God and Life. Richards-Ross also appeared on television, joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its fourteenth and fifteenth seasons.
