Sam Tutty, born on April 9, 1998, is an English actor recognized for his work in theatre and television. He is best known for his performance in the West End production of the musical Dear Evan Hansen, where he played the title role. His portrayal earned him the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. Tutty also originated the role of Dougal in the UK theatre run of Two Strangers, which was titled Carry a Cake Across New York, and he continued with the show when it transferred to Broadway. This performance led to a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. In addition to his stage work, Tutty briefly appeared in the television soap opera Hollyoaks in 2021, playing the character Timmy Simons.
