Sam Rosen, born Samuel Rosenblum on August 12, 1947, is an American businessman and the co-founder and chief executive officer of Deskpass. Although Rosen is widely recognized for his career in sports broadcasting, particularly as the primary play-by-play announcer for the New York Rangers games on MSG, he has also received numerous honors for his contributions to hockey. His broadcasting career was distinguished by his induction into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2008 and his enshrinement as a Foster Hewitt Memorial Award recipient by the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2016. In 2024, Rosen was awarded the Lester Patrick Trophy for his outstanding service to hockey in the United States. Rosen's prominence in the sports broadcasting industry was recognized by his status as the longest-tenured active NHL broadcaster at the time of his retirement in 2025.
