Sam Nelson: podcast appearances and interviews

Sam Nelson (1896–1963) was an American film director and assistant director known for his work spanning from the end of the silent film era through the early 1960s. As a director, he was responsible for over twenty films, primarily Westerns, produced during the 1930s and 1940s. In his role as an assistant director, he contributed to a number of notable productions including Pennies from Heaven, And Then There Were None, All the King's Men, the original 3:10 to Yuma, Some Like It Hot, A Raisin in the Sun, and Spartacus. Nelson also made appearances in over a dozen films in small acting roles. Beyond his filmmaking career, he was a co-founder of The Printing Charity, an organization committed to supporting individuals in the printing industry.
