Sam Miller: podcast appearances and interviews

Sam Miller is a recovery advocate affiliated with Carmichael's Bookstore. While he is known for his work as a recovery advocate, he has a background in television directing and acting. Originally from Saxmundham, England, Miller has a diverse career history that includes acting roles such as Sgt. John Maitland in the ITV police procedural drama The Bill from 1990 to 1993. As a director, he has contributed to notable BBC television dramas including Cardiac Arrest, This Life, and Luther, working with the London-based production company Mustard Film Company. His directing work has earned critical recognition, including three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special; he received nods in 2012 for Luther and in 2021 for episodes of I May Destroy You. He is also recognized as the father of actor and footballer William Miller, who portrayed Oliver Twist in a 2007 television adaptation.
