Sam Gibson: podcast appearances and interviews

Sam Gibson, born on May 27, 1986, is an emotional eating coach and affiliated with the Cavendish Football Netball Club. He is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League. Gibson was recruited by North Melbourne in the 2012 rookie draft and made his AFL debut in that year. Over his career, he played 135 games, with notable durability as he did not miss a game for North Melbourne from his debut until his delisting, establishing a league record for consecutive appearances. Gibson was a versatile player, ranked second at North Melbourne for disposals and leading the side in kicks, marks, and uncontested disposals. His performance improved over the years, increasing his disposals, tackles, rebound 50s, inside 50s, and clearances since 2013. He reached a significant milestone in 2016, playing his 100th consecutive game, and ultimately played 130 games for the club. After his tenure with North Melbourne, he was traded to Adelaide in 2017. During his first season with Adelaide, he was a late withdrawal from Round 1 due to hamstring tightness, ending his streak of consecutive games. Gibson holds a commerce and engineering degree and worked as a civil engineer before his football career. He announced his retirement from AFL football in August 2018. Following his retirement, Gibson transitioned into being an emotional eating coach, applying his insights into mental health and well-being.
