Ryan O'Neal: podcast appearances and interviews

Charles Patrick Ryan O'Neal was an American actor born in Los Angeles. He initially trained as an amateur boxer before beginning his acting career in 1960. O'Neal gained early prominence with his role as Rodney Harrington on the ABC nighttime soap opera Peyton Place in 1964, which was an immediate success and helped to elevate his career. He is known for his performances in several notable films, including the romantic drama Love Story in 1970, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama. His other significant film roles include appearances in What's Up, Doc? in 1972, Paper Moon in 1973 which earned him a Golden Globe nomination, Barry Lyndon in 1975 where he played the title character, A Bridge Too Far in 1977, and The Driver in 1978. O'Neal also had a recurring role in the television series Bones from 2006 to 2017, portraying Max, the father of the main character. His career spanned several decades and covered both television and film, establishing him as a recognized figure in American acting. Ryan O'Neal passed away in December 2023.
