Ronan Patrick John Keating, born on 3 March 1977, is an Irish singer, songwriter, and media personality. He first gained prominence in 1993 as a co-lead singer of the pop group Boyzone, alongside Keith Duffy, Michael Graham, Shane Lynch, and Stephen Gately. The group achieved significant success, and Keating has been involved in recording a total of eleven albums. His solo career began in 1999, during which he recorded hit singles including 'When You Say Nothing At All,' which was featured in the film Notting Hill and topped charts in several countries. Keating has sold more than 20 million records as a solo artist and is credited with a combined total of 25 million records sold with Boyzone. Beyond his music career, Keating has been active in television as a judge and coach on various programs, including Australia’s All Together Now, The X Factor Australia, The Voice Australia, The Voice Kids UK, and The Voice of Germany. He also worked as a radio host, hosting a breakfast show on Magic Radio for seven years until July 2024. In addition to his entertainment pursuits, Keating is engaged in charity work, notably serving as a campaigner for the Marie Keating Foundation, which raises awareness for breast cancer in memory of his mother, who died from the disease in 1998.
