Ron Chernow is an American writer, journalist, and biographer known for his bestselling historical non-fiction biographies. Born on March 3, 1949, he has received numerous awards for his work, including the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and the American History Book Prize in 2011 for his book Washington: A Life. He also earned the National Book Award for Nonfiction in 1990 for The House of Morgan, a detailed account of American banking history and the rise of modern finance. Chernow has authored biographies of prominent historical figures such as Alexander Hamilton and John D.
