Following his retirement from professional hockey, Cloutier transitioned into coaching; he served as a coach for the Val-d'Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1996 to 2000. In his professional career outside of hockey, Cloutier held the role of Global Chief Security Officer at TikTok, where he is part of The Business Protection Group.
