Robert Mueller: podcast appearances and interviews

Robert Mueller is an associate professor of pharmacy practice at Concordia University Wisconsin. His background includes a distinguished career in law and public service. Mueller graduated from Princeton University and New York University before serving as a United States Marine Corps officer during the Vietnam War, earning a Bronze Star for heroism and a Purple Heart. He later attended the University of Virginia School of Law. Throughout his career, Mueller has held various government positions, including assistant U.S. attorney, U.S. attorney, assistant attorney general for the Department of Justice Criminal Division, and acting U.S. deputy attorney general. He also worked in private practice as a partner at the law firm WilmerHale in Washington D.C. and served as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 2001 to 2013. Mueller was the only FBI director permitted by Congress to serve more than the statutory ten-year limit since the death of J. Edgar Hoover, receiving a special extension. His diverse experience spans both government service and private law practice, with appointments confirmed by presidents from both parties. In 2017, he was appointed special counsel to oversee the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Mueller submitted his report in 2019, after which the Office of the Special Counsel was closed and he resigned from his role.
