Robert D. Kaplan: podcast appearances and interviews

Robert David Kaplan is an American author specializing in politics, particularly foreign affairs, and travel. Over three decades, his work has appeared in numerous prominent publications including The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The New Republic, The National Interest, Foreign Affairs, and The Wall Street Journal. Kaplan is known for his influential article titled 'The Coming Anarchy' published in The Atlantic Monthly in 1994, which explores global conflicts as struggles between primitivism and civilizations. His writings frequently focus on the reemergence of cultural and historical tensions that were temporarily subdued during the Cold War. Kaplan has held several notable positions throughout his career; he was a Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security from 2008 to 2012 and rejoined the organization in 2015. Between 2012 and 2014, he served as chief geopolitical analyst at Stratfor, a private global forecasting firm. In 2009, he was appointed to the Defense Policy Board by Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
