Demi Bennett, known by her ring name Rhea Ripley, is an Australian professional wrestler signed to WWE since July 2017. She performs on the SmackDown brand and is the current WWE Women's Champion, holding her second reign. Ripley is a former two-time Women's World Champion, with her first reign lasting 380 days, tying the longest in the title's history. She began her wrestling career competing on the independent circuit starting in 2013 before joining WWE. Ripley's debut in WWE included participation in the inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017, where she reached the semi-finals. She was part of the original roster of NXT UK and became the inaugural NXT UK Women's Champion in August 2018. From 2019 to 2021, she competed on the NXT brand, winning the NXT Women's Championship and becoming the first NXT member to defend a title at WrestleMania. She was subsequently promoted to WWE's main roster on Raw and joined The Judgment Day in 2022. Ripley's accomplishments include holding the NXT UK Women's Championship, NXT Women's Championship, and two WWE Women's Tag Team Championships with Nikki A.S.H and Iyo Sky. Her win of the SmackDown Women's Championship in April 2023, later renamed the Women's World Championship, made her the seventh WWE Women's Triple Crown Champion and the fifth Grand Slam Champion. She is recognized as the first female Australian champion in WWE history and was the winner of the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble, notably as the first woman to win a Royal Rumble match as the number one entrant.
